Mixtape Factory Signs Partnership with COSON Nigeria on Street Rebrand Project

On 10th October, 2017, at the COSON Conference Hall, Allen ikeja was bustled with dignitaries like Chibueze Okereke (Head of Licensing), Miss Simi Washpam (General Counsel for COSON), Mrs Bernice Eriemeghe (Head Finance & Admin for COSON), Miss Oyinkansola Fawehinmi (Head of Legal Mixtape Factory) and Mr Olatunbosun Musa (Business Director Mixtape Factory).

The event happened between the hours of 11am to 2pm, in attendance to witness the partnership signing was Tayo Faniran, Apex & Bionic and few media houses.
COSON Nigeria signing a partnership with Mixtape Factory is in line with its commitment to advancing music and copyright commission management in Nigeria, which makes it truly gratifying to see one of Nigeria’s copyright commission giant joining hands as part of the renowned project (Street Rebrand).

Speaking at the event, Mr Musa Olatunbosun known as ‘Bosun Parrot’ (Business director of Mixtape Factory) said; the street rebrand project: Non-stop mixtape is actually a dream come true for Artists, Licensing Bodies, Producers, Content Owners, Marketers because is an all-inclusive industry where every persons in the circle chain of musical works creation are adequately enumerated.

While the signing exercise was ongoing there are some questions from guests; whether this street rebrand project will help avert or reduce illegal dealings and privacy among Nigeria music industry and what are those measures mixtape factory is putting in place.
Miss Oyinkansola Fawehinmi (Head of Legal Mixtape Factory) shed more light on those questions saying “The Re-brand Project will impact hugely on the growth of the African music business landscape. More so it will help eliminate piracy because of its partnership with the federal government and COSON Nigeria as a body.

More so, she enjoin every Licensing Bodies, Composers, Producers and Artists to embrace the Street-rebrand Project as this is the first of its kind and revolution of non-stop mix distribution legally.
While the signing ceremony ended with a closing prayer by Mrs. Bernice Eriemeghe (Head of Finance & Admin COSON).

This message is one of necessity and especially apt seeing as piracy has eaten deep into the Nigerian entertainment hemisphere so we need to embrace the new era of the Street-Rebrand.
